1. How do I schedule an appointment?

    1. Aaron accepts new projects that suit his interest, ability, and skillset.  Due to the high-volume of inquiries, Aaron is EXTREMELY selective with what he approves and schedules.  Unfortunately not all requests can be accommodated.  To submit an official tattoo appointment inquiry,  please fill out Aaron’s Tattoo appointment request form (active 4 times a year - the first weekends of January, April, July, & October). The chances of being accepted are based on the attractiveness of your concept. Please note that if accepted, there will be a required $300 NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT to secure your appointment which is taken off the cost when the tattoo is completed.

  2. Should I make / have my own design?

    1. NO. Aaron only works from his own custom photo-collage designs, so please do not send or bring pictures of other peoples tattoos, he will not use them. Have a concept and an open mind, and he will create something unique and custom just for you.

  3. Can I come to the studio for a consult and explain my idea to Aaron to make sure we are on the same page?

    1. No. Aaron expects and only accepts clients who have an open mind and a general concept. Wanting a consultation generally means one of two things – that you do not trust Aaron 100% or you are just too picky about your design. Neither of which Aaron wishes to work with.

  4. How do I submit my deposit?

    1. If your request is accepted, your deposit can be submitted in person if you are local, or he accepts deposit transfers through Paypal, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle or Square.  If no deposit is received you will not be on the waitlist.

  5. Are deposits refundable?

    1. No.  Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but will go towards the final cost of the tattoo, as long as no appointments are missed or cancelled.  If something comes up and you notify Aaron at least 48 hours prior to your appointment then it can be transferred.   Aaron handles all his own scheduling so missing an appointment or rescheduling last minute will be a great inconvenience.

  6. Can I transfer my deposit and appointment date to someone else?

    1. No.  Appointments are carefully selected depending on subject and projects must be directly approved by Aaron before scheduling.  All new clients must fill out an appointment request form.

  7. I know Aaron has a long wait, can I just schedule now and decide later?

    1. No.  All projects must be approved before scheduling

  8. I heard Aaron was booked out like a YEAR...is that true?

    1. It used to be that way, but not anymore. Nowadays he only books out within one month at a time.  With that comes a very selective scheduling process however.  please refer to the next question.

  9. How long is Aaron’s wait?

    1. It's indefinite.  Aaron only books within one month at a time then stops scheduling dates.  Approved projects/clients beyond that with deposits, are placed on a waitlist in the order they are received. So when his schedule gets under a month of bookings or has random spaces within a month, he refers to the waitlist and will then schedule more dates.  So if you are not comfortable dropping a deposit without a definite date immediately, please do not submit a request. This keeps his schedule relatively open in the near future for such things as personal time, traveling, conventions, etc. Once you are scheduled, you will be able to schedule a second session immediately at the end of your first one if more sessions are needed.

  10. How much does Aaron charge?

    1. As of January 2023, Aaron will be abandoning hourly charging and starting a flat day rate of $1200 a day. Aaron only books one client a day, so you are paying for his time in general - even if the amount of time spent tattooing is not an entire day, design and preparation is also valued, as well as taking an entire day of availability from everyone else - so the value is beyond just the tattooing time. Any subsequent sessions that do not require a full days of work could possibly be charged a half day rate at Aaron’s discretion.

  11. How much is a portrait?

    1. Typically a single portrait can take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours for Aaron to complete so a full day rate of $1200 would be expected for any standalone portrait. If any other images are combined with the portrait, a subsequent session could be scheduled and therefore charged accordingly.

  12. How much for a sleeve?

    1. Currently Aaron is not taking on any new sleeve projects.

  13. Does Aaron do coverups?

    1. almost never…unless it’s really small and really faded. Trying to cover something takes away from his ability to properly do the shading and realism at his highest level. We typically recommend finding an artist/style that uses an abundance of bold linework and saturated color to hide the coverup.

  14. I don’t like what my artist started…can Aaron finish it and add his “flare” to it?

    1. No. Unfortunately Aaron needs to start his process from the very beginning including his own photo research and design to properly do his best work. There are plenty of artists out there who enjoy the challenge of covering or repairing old work, Aaron is just not one of them.

  15. Aaron did a tattoo for me years ago and I want to give it new life. Can I schedule a “touch-up”?

    1. Unfortunately no. A touchup is an adjustment of the initial tattoo process of an aspect that was either forgotten, not applied correctly, or didn’t healed correctly, and should be addressed soon after. TATTOOS AGE - that's part of the deal. Time/sun exposure/diet/genetics/moisturization or lack thereof, among many other factors which are out of any artists control, can all influence the aging and fading process of a tattoo which cannot realistically be expected to be held accountable by any artist years down the line. Wear your old tattoo with pride, it shows you've been getting ink for years!
